Born 1984, Nationality Finland

  • Sophie Schubakoff has been actively painting and exhibiting all around the world, including New York, Abu Dhabi, Florence, London, Paris and many more. She is known for her expressive paintings of imaginative underwater worlds.  Her medium is mainly acrylic paint and she expresses texture vividly with her use of brushstrokes. Her paintings depict the cultural impact to the modern day life of an artist and translates it through the art world with humour and witty investigation.  These paintings are ecstatically pleasing, skilfully executed and full of curiosity.  Schubakoff has a way of looking at the world through her eccentricities and meticulous attention to details.
